Launched to mark the 37th America’s Cup, the 46.75 mm Seamaster Regatta is an instrument watch for professionals, featuring both analogue and digital displays. Cased in grade 5 titanium, the Seamaster Regatta is fully equipped for life at sea.
Its many invaluable tools include a moonphase indicator, a chronograph, a sailing logbook, temperature gauge, accelerometer, 3 alarms, and of course a regatta race function.
The watch’s dial has an LCD display with black markings on a white-grey background to show its multiple digital readings, as well as Diver 300M- inspired hour, minute, and central seconds hand, which can be cleared from the display when in backlit mode to increase the legibility of the digital readouts. Encircling the unique dial is a minute-track with integrated hour markers.
To navigate through the functions there are four pushers, one in red and three in blue, all cast in rubber for ease of use at sea. And a sandblasted crown with laser-engraved OMEGA logo, operated with push and turn actions.
Turning the watch over reveals a wave pattern caseback designed along the principles of “Helmholtz resonance”. It has a resonating cavity to help increase the volume of the alarms which also serve multiple functions. This raised back is embossed with the distinctive 37th America’s Cup logo and engraved with the words SEAMASTER REGATTA and 37th AMERICA’S CUP. Also engraved is the name of the watch’s brand-new multifunctional quartz movement: OMEGA’s CALIBRE 5701.
To complement the dial, pushers, and blue polished ceramic bezel ring, OMEGA’s ultimate instrument for professionals is presented on an integrated blue rubber strap fixed with OMEGA’s patented Quick-Change system. The watch is presented in a commemorative blue box with red stitching,
Features
Alarm: A watch or clock which automatically sounds at a pre-set time.
Bi-directional rotating bezel: A bezel which can be turned clockwise or anti-clockwise. Rotating bezels can be used to time events, measure elapsed times, or read second or third time zones.
Chronograph: The chronograph function is a mechanism for measuring time intervals. A chronograph watch can therefore be used to time events while displaying the time like any traditional watch.
Date: The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial at the 3 or 6 o’clock position, or within a subdial at 9 o'clock.
Multifunction: Watch with digital (or combined analogue/digital) display with several functions, such as alarm, chronograph, countdown timer etc. with optional display of the required mode.
Perpetual calendar: Memory function that respects all date changes, including 29th February in leap years (until 28/02/2100).
Regatta timing: A watch function which allows the easy reading of the critical regatta time intervals at glance.
Time zone function: Allows the hour hand to be easily adjusted to different time zones without stopping the watch.
