The Alpine Eagle 41 XPS stands out thanks to its ultra thin design, high precision, and exceptional finishing. It is crafted in Lucent Steel™ and has a 41 mm diameter and a thinness of 8 mm, giving it a sleek and contemporary profile.
The dial features a “Mountain Glow” colour : a subtle ivory shade inspired by the warm light of sunrise on snowy Alpine peaks. Its textured pattern, reminiscent of an eagle’s iris, adds depth and character. The hands, numerals, and hour markers are made of ethical white gold and coated with Grade X1 Super LumiNova®, ensuring excellent readability at any time of day.
The Lucent Steel™ bracelet has been redesigned to improve comfort and elegance. The first five links taper more clearly, and the links near the clasp are slimmer, enhancing the watch’s overall thinness. This evolution includes a new comfort fit extension system integrated into the triple folding clasp. With a simple pull and push, the bracelet can extend by up to 5 mm, allowing for instant adaptation to temperature changes, wrist movement, or activity. This enhancement reflects Chopard’s ongoing commitment to combining technical excellence with everyday comfort.
The timepiece houses the L.U.C Calibre 96.40-L, a direct evolution of the very first movement conceived and produced by Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier in 1996. At just 3.30 mm thin, this self winding movement includes a 22 carat gold micro rotor that efficiently winds two stacked barrels, thanks to Chopard Twin technology, providing a 65-hour power reserve. The calibre is Chronometer certified (COSC) for precision and includes a stop seconds function and a swan’s neck regulator for fine adjustment.
Each component is meticulously finished by hand, with polished, bevelled and decorated surfaces in line with Poinçon de Genève standards. This prestigious hallmark guarantees exceptional craftsmanship for both the movement and the case. What’s more, achieving this in steel is particularly rare due to the demanding finishing requirements.
